RELOCATION MANAGEMENT
PSG provides overall project management serving as the owner representative to ensure cost, quality, and timely realization of project goals and objectives. We offer services through the entire project life cycle, from lease negotiation assistance through occupancy. Project management services include (but are not limited to): relocation, security, signage, communications, furniture selection, food service coordination, landscape design and even artwork curation. We also assign a member of senior leadership to each project to serve as single point of contact. This ensures that the goals and objectives of each of our clients’ projects are met.
Creating a Master Relocation Management Schedule
A relocation management company’s first task is to create a master plan for moving offices that includes key milestone dates for such tasks as determining if there will be a single or staged approach (if staged, which group(s) go in which order and on which day), documenting assets to be moved or disposed of, readying the new space, interviewing and hiring contractors, and packing up the current facility.
It’s critical to create a budget for these costs and to track each and every expenditure. While the move itself may be inevitable, the manner in which it is executed is filled with important choices that can have a major effect on operations and your bottom line.
Inventory Plan
As experienced relocation specialists, we understand the importance of shedding items of little value rather than paying to move them. Our coordinators conduct a full and thorough inventory of your assets, including sales inventory, office furniture, equipment, supplies, and more.
We help you decide what to leave behind, dispose of it, and then log and tag the items you will take with you.
Relocation Vendor Selection and Management
A number of vendors will be involved in your company’s relocation. These may include computer technicians, electricians, HVAC technicians, plumbers, movers, and others. Using a substandard vendor who may not be onsite when needed stalls progress and delay your move’s completion. As an experienced relocation management company, we thoroughly vet all vendors considered, selecting only the best and most reliable applicants.
The orchestration of the entire move is written out, step by step, and distributed to everyone taking part in the process, helping to ensure efficiency.
Moving Day Activities
On the day of the move, our relocation management company crew is on-site at both the old and the new offices, overseeing every aspect of the move. Whether or not we participated in the space planning for your new space, we ensure that all offices, furniture, fixtures, shelving, workstations, etc., are set up exactly according to plan.
Our vendors will be onsite to connect all equipment and ensure it is running properly so that there are no surprises when workers take their stations in the new space.
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)
Our methods of real-time asset tracking with location A scan-out and location B scan-in means no items are lost and every piece of inventory, equipment, furniture, and supplies is accounted for.
Post-Move Help Desk
We will be available on-demand after your move to troubleshoot any issues that may arise once employees settle in.
Our relocation management company sees you through your move from beginning to end, ensuring a smooth transition with as little work interruption as possible.
